Want to Work at Camp This Summer?

Summer 2023 was a season of answered prayers and significant growth among our campers and staff, and we’re so excited to invite more into our mission to serve youth and families. With over 500 campers last summer (our biggest yet!), we’re looking to grow even more and hire between 40-50 staff to support our ministry. Below, please find information about the counselor position and other roles within that we hope you’ll fill!

About our Summer Camp Staff

Are you interested in giving your summer to serve youth and families?  Are you energized by sharing your love of the Lord and the truth of the Gospel?  Do you want to spend two months outdoors in the heart of the Rocky Mountains?  Do you desire to grow deeper in your relationship with God and others through better knowledge of self?  Then Summer Staff 2024 might be the place for you!  Keep reading below for further information and details.

Qualifications

  • Must be a high school graduate
  • Must have a servant’s heart and a desire to grow
  • Must be someone that loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking
  • Must have a desire to share faith in retreat type setting
  • Must have a love of Jesus Christ and the Catholic faith
  • Must be physically active and able
  • Must have a desire to be part of a team, live in community, work hard, and have fun!

  • Maintenance Staff

Summer Camp Staffers Receive

  • Servant leadership training
  • Room and Board
  • Daily Mass, weekly Adoration
  • Opportunity for confession and spiritual direction
  • Meals provided when camps are in session
  • Basic financial compensation, with details available at the time of interview
  • Opportunity to develop programming and ministry skillset
  • Close friendships with fellow staffer

 

  • PLEASE NOTE: We are open to collaborating with staff to make the summer an internship, on a case by case basis.  Please communicate this during interview!

Summer Staff Commitment Dates: May 18-July 28, 2024

Summer Staff Training: May 18 – June 2 (including one Family Camp!)
Summer Camps Begin: June 2, 2024
Fiat Fest: July 27, 2024
Summer Staff Departure: July 28, 2024

Please feel free to submit your materials at your own convenience. Interviewing will begin in mid-November.  Application are received on a rolling basis, but preference will be given to those received before December 15.

Are you a returner?  You will still need to fill out the application again.  Feel free to reach out to us directly anyway!!

Step 1: Read the Job Description and Apply Online

The Summer Staff application is housed on the Archdiocese of Denver’s Paycom System.  Please complete the application, including resume upload and short answer questions, by clicking on the button below.  Please note, the application may take about 20-30 minutes to complete!

Step 2: Send the Electronic Reference Form Link to THREE References

In order to be hired, you will need three reference forms.  They can be the same three you put on the application above, but you are responsible for reaching out to them directly yourself.  Please send them the link below to the electronic reference form, which they can complete and submit directly to us!

Step 3: Wait Till Your Scheduled Interview Time

Once you have submitted the application online, signed up for an interview slot, and shared the three reference forms, your materials will be reviewed, and be discussed at the interview.  Interviews will begin towards the end of November.  Feel free to email with any specific questions or concerns before that.

To be a staffer at Annunciation Heights means to become part of the AH family.  Time spent in service at the Heights is time spent in deep communion with God in Creation, with one another in friendship, and with all those we serve.  We are grateful and honored by all those who served this past summer to make this camp a place of friendship and encounter with God.  Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to this mission, and to one another!
