Prospective Summer Camp Staff

Come join us for a summer you’ll never forget!

Summer 2019 served as our very first Summer Camp season at Annunciation Heights, and we couldn’t be more thrilled by how it went!  With nearly 300 campers joining us last summer, we are looking to grow even more this year!  Yes, we are already beginning to prepare for 2020. We’ll be hiring approximately 35-40 college students and young adults in various roles to serve for six weeks of Summer Camp and at least two family camps. Prior to our first session of Summer Camp, staffers will participate in two weeks of training, beginning on May 24th.

About our Summer Camp Staff

Are you interested in giving your summer to serve youth and families?  Are you energized by sharing your love of the Lord and the truth of the Gospel?  Do you want to spend two months outdoors in the heart of the Rocky Mountains?  Do you desire to grow deeper in your relationship with God and others through better knowledge of self?  Then Summer Staff 2020 might be the place for you!  Keep reading below for further information and details.


-Must be a high school graduate
-Must have a servant’s heart and a desire to grow
-Must be someone that loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking
-Must have a desire to share faith in retreat type setting
-Must have a love of Jesus Christ and the Catholic faith
-Must be physically active and able
-Must have a desire to be part of a team, live in community, work hard, and have fun!


  • Camp Guides (counselors)
  • Kitchen Crew
  • Lifeguard(s)
  • Health Office Asst.
  • Photo/Video
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Worship leaders/musicians
  • And training in other specializations (high ropes, archery, etc.)

Summer Camp Staffers Receive

  • Servant leadership training
  • Room and Board
  • Daily Mass, weekly Adoration
  • Opportunity for confession and spiritual direction
  • Meals provided when camps are in session
  • Basic financial compensation, with details available at the time of interview
  • Opportunity to develop programming and ministry skillset
  • Close friendships with fellow staffers

Summer Staff Commitment Dates: May 24 through August 6, 2020

Summer Staff Training: May 24 – June 6
Summer Camps Begin: June 7
Summer Staff Closing: August 4-6

Want to Join our Summer Camp Staff?

Applications for Summer Staff 2020 are now open.  Please feel free to submit your materials at your own convenience.  Interviews will not be scheduled until all materials are received.  Interviewing will begin in mid-November.  Application are received on a rolling basis, but preference will be given to those received before December 15.

Are you a returner?  Unfortunately, as our applications are now being housed in a new system, you will still need to fill out the application again.  Feel free to reach out to us directly anyway!!

Step 1: Read the Job Description and Apply Online

Step 2: Download the Reference Form

In order to be hired, you will need three reference forms.  They can be the same three you put on the application above, but you are responsible for reaching out to them directly yourself.  Please download the PDF and send it to three individuals (teachers, pastors, friends, etc.).

Step 3: Collect Your Reference Forms and Submit Them

Once you have collected your three completed reference forms, send them all to Luke Hlavin, Director of Programs.

Step 4: Wait To Be Contacted for an Interview

Once you have submitted the application online and the three reference forms, your materials will be reviewed, and you may be contacted for an interview.  Interviews will begin towards the end of November.  Feel free to email with any specific questions or concerns before that.

Summer Staff 2019

To be a staffer at Annunciation Heights means to become part of the AH family.  Time spent in service at the Heights is time spent in deep communion with God in Creation, with one another in friendship, and with all those we serve.  We are grateful and honored by all those who served this past summer to make this camp a place of friendship and encounter with God.  Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to this mission, and to one another!
