Camp Song: "To the Heights"
To encapsulate the spirit of Annunciation Heights, our 2021 camp musicians wrote the following song “To the Heights.” Based on the invitation of the Father to encounter Him in the beauty of the mountains,” the song is a reflection on the Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and her generous response: “Yes!” May each of our hearts respond with the same fervent assent to God’s invitation.
We are so grateful to Pat and Hanna for sharing their musical talent with our staff and campers this summer, and for giving us a song for years to come. To the Annunciation Heights family, enjoy!
Lyrics
Lyrics and Music by Hanna Mangiovillano & Pat Briley
Verse 1:
Come up come over the hills
Come be away, and come be still
For I’ve prepared a place for you
To come alive and be made new
Pre-Chorus:
For I’m the God of life
Let me take you child
Chorus:
To the heights of glory
To the heights of peace
To the heights of freedom
There’s fullness of life
Let Me take you to the heights
Verse 2:
Full of grace My lovely one, come
Morning dawn that precedes the sun
I have called you on to the heights, to the throne
Mother most beautiful, to beauties unknown
Pre-Chorus 2:
Shall my will in you be done?
Oh my child, will you come?
Chorus:
To the heights of glory
To the heights of peace
To the heights of freedom
There’s fullness of life
Let Me take you to the heights
Bridge:
I will come, Father I will come
I will come, Father I will come
I will come, Father I will come
I will come, Father I will come
Chorus 2:
To the heights of glory
To the heights of peace
To the heights of freedom
There’s fullness of life
Father take me…
To the heights of mercy
To the heights of joy
To the heights of beauty
There’s fullness of life
Father take me to the heights
Final Chorus:
To the heights of glory
To the heights of peace
To the heights of freedom
There’s fullness of life
Father take me to the heights
